Alibaba
Alibaba AI Discovers Four New Superconductors

Alibaba’s DAMO Academy, with Renmin University and UCAS, just showed ElementsClaw, claimed as the first AI agent for superconductors. It found 4 unknown compounds later verified in lab experiments.
Details:
Superconductors carry electricity with zero resistance and expel magnetic fields at low temperatures, which could reshape power grids, quantum computing and maglev trains
Discovery is slow: no complete theory, about 2,000 known in SuperCon. ElementsClaw used a 1B-parameter model trained on 125M structures to narrow the hunt
It scanned literature and 2.4M stable crystals in 28 GPU hours, ranked 68,000 candidates, then lab work confirmed 4 new materials with 2.5K–6.5K critical temperatures
No, this is not room-temperature superconductivity yet. But it shows AI can move from chat into labs and make hard science faster.
Scale AI support on AWS, see how July 9
Customer expectations keep rising. Support budgets don't. On July 9, Fin and AWS are hosting a live executive session on how leading enterprises close that gap: scaling AI-powered support while simplifying how they buy it.
You'll see how to resolve an average 76% of conversations with Fin on AWS enterprise-grade infrastructure, procure through AWS Marketplace to put committed cloud spend to work, and turn the Fin and AWS collaboration into lower support costs. Register for the live session to see how.
Anthropic
Anthropic Wants Claude To Help Build Medicine

Anthropic is pushing Claude beyond chat and code. Its Claude Science workbench aims to help researchers use AI for discovery, while the company says it may develop drugs for neglected diseases.
Details:
Claude Science brings tools, datasets, figures and visuals into one place, turning Claude into a research assistant for pharma, biotech and scientists working across fragmented workflows
Anthropic’s move is unusually direct: it may discover treatments while selling AI tools to drugmakers, but has not named diseases, partners, trial plans or other details
Experts say AI can speed molecule search, target discovery, analysis, trials and repurposing, but drugs still need human oversight, better data, lab tests, toxicity checks and FDA approval
Big picture: AI may speed up science, but medicine still moves through evidence, experiments and years of real-world proof.

AI Tutorial
How to Use Claude for AI Video Editing

Editing videos used to take hours, but AI can handle much of the process. In this tutorial, I’ll show you how to connect Claude with Palmier Pro to cut, caption, clean up, and polish raw footage with less manual work.
Install Palmier Pro
Download and install Palmier Pro, then open a fresh video project.
Connect Claude
Create an Anthropic API key. Then in Palmier Pro, go to:
Settings > Agent > Paste API key
Import Footage
Drag in a short raw clip, such as:
A screen recording
A talking-head video
A product demo
Create First Cut
Ask the agent:
“Edit this into a 60-second video. Remove pauses, weak parts, and dead air. Keep the strongest moments and the main point.”Improve Pacing
After the first cut, review the timeline and ask:
“Make the video tighter, smoother, and easier to watch without changing the main message.”Add Captions and Polish
Ask the agent to add clean captions, improve framing, and apply light color correction.
Review and Export
Watch the full video, check the captions and cuts, then export. Repeat this workflow for future videos.
Note: After exporting, watch the video once on your phone to check if the captions, pacing, and framing look good on mobile.
