AI From Mayo Clinic Finds Pancreatic Cancer Before Doctors Can See It

Mayo Clinic says its AI model can detect pancreatic cancer on routine CT scans up to 3 years before diagnosis. It finds subtle tissue changes before tumors are visible, when treatment may still be possible.

Details:

  • The AI model, called REDMOD, analyzed nearly 2,000 CT scans that were originally read as normal. It identified 73% of prediagnostic pancreatic cancers at a median of 16 months before diagnosis

  • Results were even stronger for earlier scans. In CT scans taken more than 2 years before diagnosis, AI found nearly 3 times as many early cancers compared with specialists without AI

  • Mayo Clinic says the model works across multiple institutions, imaging systems, and protocols. It is moving into clinical testing through AI-PACED for high-risk patients

This is why medical AI matters. Not to replace doctors, but to help them catch deadly diseases earlier, before symptoms appear and before options become limited.

Anthropic Could Raise $50B At A Massive $900B Valuation

Anthropic could be heading for one of the biggest private AI funding rounds ever. The Claude maker has received offers to raise $40B to $50B at an $850B to $900B valuation before a possible IPO.

Details:

  • Investors are pushing hard to get into the round, even though Anthropic has not fully committed yet. The company is expected to make a final decision at a board meeting in May

  • The latest round could more than double Anthropic’s February valuation of $380B and may put it near or above OpenAI, which closed a $122B round at an $852B valuation

  • Revenue growth is driving the hype. Anthropic’s annual run rate reportedly jumped from about $9B at the end of 2025 to over $30B, with one source saying it is closer to $40B

Claude Code and Cowork are helping fuel that growth, especially in AI coding. Investors also see Anthropic expanding into finance, life sciences, healthcare, and more.

How to Create an AI Version of Yourself Using Pika

Use Pika to build an AI Self that matches your identity, tone, memory, appearance, and workflow. The better you set it up, the more helpful it is for messaging, content, brainstorming, reports, and daily tasks.

  1. Launch Pika

Go to Pika or use the Pika iOS app. Sign up or log in to start creating your Pika Agent / AI Self.

  2. Start setup

Begin the onboarding flow. Pika describes this as creating an AI Self or Agent that becomes a persistent, portable creative partner.

  3. Add personal context

Give Pika the details that shape your AI Self.

    • Your taste

    • Your personality

    • Your preferences

    Example:

“I create simple AI tutorials for beginners, creators, students, and small business owners.”

  4. Set communication style

Tell your AI Self how it should sound when speaking or writing.

    • Clear and practical

    • Friendly but not too casual

    • Short, useful, and easy to understand

    Example:

“Explain things simply, avoid robotic wording, and write like a helpful AI educator.”

  5. Create face, voice, and appearance

Design how your Pika Agent looks and feels. Pika officially says your agent can have a face, voice, personality, and appearance that you create.

  6. Train it through conversation

Talk to your AI Self and correct it when the response does not match you. The agent can remember your context, knowledge, preferences, and how you write across sessions.

    Example:

“This sounds too formal. Make it more direct, simple, and creator-friendly.”

  7. Use it across workflow

Use your AI Self for messaging, DMs, brainstorming, content, reports, tasks, and creative work.

Note: Correct it whenever the response feels off. Small feedback like “too formal” or “make it shorter” helps shape the AI Self over time.
