Anthropic Rolls Out Voice Features for Claude Assistant

Anthropic is rolling out a voice mode for Claude, enabling full spoken conversations with the AI assistant. The English-language beta is gradually launching on the Claude mobile app, with some users receiving it as early as Tuesday.

Details:

• Voice mode lets users interact with Claude without hands, showing key points on-screen while the AI speaks. There are five voice options, and switching between voice and text is easy

• It supports discussions involving documents and images, and offers transcripts and summaries afterward. The feature runs on the Claude Sonnet 4 model by default

• Voice chats count toward regular usage limits. Those on the basic plan get around 20–30 conversations, while paid subscribers receive extras like a Google Workspace connector. Google Docs support is limited to Enterprise plans

This launch puts Claude in line with OpenAI, Gemini Live, and Grok in offering voice chat. Anthropic CPO Mike Krieger confirmed voice plans in March, with reports hinting at partnerships with Amazon and ElevenLabs.

Telegram and xAI Announce $300M Grok Integration Partnership

Telegram has partnered with Elon Musk's xAI to bring the Grok chatbot to its platform. xAI will pay $300 million in cash and equity for a one-year distribution deal, according to CEO Pavel Durov.

Details:

• Grok will be integrated directly into Telegram's interface, allowing users to pin the chatbot above chats and reach it through the search bar, similar to Meta's AI integration in Instagram and WhatsApp

• Telegram will receive 50% of revenue generated from xAI subscriptions purchased through the app, creating a potentially lucrative revenue stream for the messaging platform

• The chatbot will offer multiple functions including writing suggestions, chat summarization, document analysis, sticker creation, business support, and moderation assistance

This deal expands Grok beyond Telegram Premium users, potentially opening it to all. The integration marks a major step in the AI assistant race.
