Claude Sonnet 5 Makes Agentic AI Cheaper And More Practical

Anthropic launched Claude Sonnet 5 with a clear message: agentic AI is no longer reserved for expensive flagship models. The race is shifting toward cheaper, safer, reliable AI agents.
Details:
Claude Sonnet 5 can plan, use browsers and terminals, run workflows autonomously, check its own output, and complete complex tasks older models often left unfinished
It delivers near-Opus 4.8 performance at lower cost: $2 input and $10 output per million tokens until Aug 31, then $3 and $15. It is default for complimentary and Pro plans
Sonnet 5 improves reasoning, coding, tool use, and knowledge work, scoring 63.2% on agentic coding. It also reduces hallucinations, unsafe cooperation, and prompt-injection risks
Agentic capability is becoming the baseline expectation. The next AI winners will be judged by cost, reliability, safety, and real autonomy.

On July 16th at 1PM ET, beehiiv is unveiling the next chapter for audience-led businesses.
For years, creators and brands have been forced to stitch together bloated stacks of tools just to publish content, grow an audience, and make money online.
Newsletters in one platform. Websites in another. Podcasts somewhere else. Analytics scattered everywhere.
beehiiv thinks there’s a better way. Now, they’re ready to show it off at their Summer Release Event.

Google Releases Nano Banana 2 Lite for Quicker AI Images

Google just released Nano Banana 2 Lite, a quicker and cheaper AI image generator built for rapid creative iteration, high-volume workflows, and brands that need to test visual content quickly.
Details:
It can generate images in around 4 seconds and costs $0.034 per 1,000 images, making it useful for drafting, testing, and producing large batches of visuals at scale
It replaces the original Nano Banana as Google’s legacy model, while Nano Banana 2 remains the general workhorse and Nano Banana Pro serves more advanced use cases
Google also expanded Gemini Omni Flash for video, priced at $0.10 per second, and showed Omni Product Studio for turning static images into cinematic e-commerce videos
AI image and video tools are moving quick, but the debate around AI slop, creative jobs, and Hollywood partnerships is getting louder.

Postgres Didn't Fail You. Your Architecture Did.
Adding a second database was supposed to fix things. Now you manage sync, drift, and pipelines on top of queries that are still slow.
TimescaleDB extends Postgres instead. Hypertables, 95% compression, continuous aggregates. One database. No pipeline.

How to Turn Higgsfield and Claude into a Video Creation Machine

Learn how to combine Higgsfield and Claude Code into a video workstation that generates ideas, creates videos, tracks performance, and turns successful workflows into reusable skills.
Set Up Workspace
Create a dedicated project folder and open it in Claude Code. This will serve as the home for your campaigns, assets, prompts, and tracking files.
Install and Connect
Install the Higgsfield CLI. Authenticate your Higgsfield account. Add the Higgsfield skills package.
Define Brand and Goals
Ask Claude to interview you about your brand, audience, and content objectives. Use the responses to establish the direction and requirements for future campaigns.
Create Structure
Have Claude generate the campaign workspace, including:
Input, output, draft, and final folders
A brand guidelines file
A campaign tracking file
A workflow README
Generate First Campaign
Ask Claude to create two short-form video concepts based on your goals. Review the concepts, choose your favorite, and refine it until you're ready to produce.
Organize Videos
Have Claude convert the approved concept into a Higgsfield-ready prompt. Generate the video and save the completed assets in your campaign folders.
Turn Workflows into Skills
Create reusable skills for future projects:
Turn the campaign workflow into a repeatable skill
Create a second skill that improves prompts from feedback
Use revision notes and results to continually improve future videos
Tip: Test multiple concepts before committing to production—small changes can have a big impact on performance.
