Anthropic Launches Opus 5 With Fable Level Power at Half Price

Anthropic just launched Claude Opus 5, two months after Opus 4.8. It gets close to Fable 5 intelligence at half the API price, while beating it on several coding and knowledge-work tests with lighter safeguards too.
Details:
Opus 5 costs $5/M input and $25/M output, the same as Opus 4.8 and half Fable 5. It has a 1M-token context, 128K max output, adaptive thinking, and a Fast mode that runs 2.5× quicker
Anthropic says Opus 5 checks its work and keeps iterating. In one test it built its own vision pipeline from an incomplete prompt; it also leads Frontier-Bench and beats Fable 5 on OSWorld
It can find source-code flaws, but blocks binary scans, pentesting and exploit generation. Classifiers should trigger 85% less than Fable 5; Automatic Fallbacks reroute flagged API calls
Available across Claude, Opus 5 is the default on Max and strongest on Pro. It avoids Fable’s 30-day retention rule; Haiku alone remains on 4.5.
AI help, without the trust tax.
Most AI tools ask you to trade your data for intelligence. Norton Neo doesn't. It's the first safe AI-native browser built by Norton, and it gives you powerful built-in AI without handing your privacy over to get it. Search, summarize, and write with AI built directly into your browser. Your data stays yours. Your context stays private.
Built-in VPN, anti-fingerprinting, and ad blocking come standard. No add-ons. No setup. No compromises.
Fast. Safe. Intelligent. That's Neo.

Jensen Huang Warns Washington Not to Restrict Open AI

Jensen Huang used his first-ever X post to warn Washington against over-restricting open-weight AI, comparing this fight to the 1980s open-source battle that could have slowed the software foundations of the internet.
Details:
Huang backed a letter signed by 25 firms including Nvidia, Microsoft, Meta, Palantir, Hugging Face, Perplexity and IBM, saying open models boost competition, security and sovereignty
Open models let startups, universities and researchers build, audit and patch AI. The letter defends distillation as legitimate research as US accuse China’s Kimi K3 of copying
Chinese President Xi echoed the openness case, urging cooperation, opposing broad security limits and offering 5,000 AI training slots. 29 nations formed Shanghai-based WAICO to rival U.S.-led AI governance
Huang praised Chinese open models, while OpenAI and Anthropic skipped the letter and warn powerful Chinese open models pose major risks for the U.S.

How to Use Claude for AI Video Editing

Editing videos used to take hours, but AI can handle much of the process. In this tutorial, I’ll show you how to connect Claude with Palmier Pro to cut, caption, clean up, and polish raw footage with less manual work.
Install Palmier Pro
Download and install Palmier Pro, then open a fresh video project.
Connect Claude
Create an Anthropic API key. Then in Palmier Pro, go to:
Settings > Agent > Paste API key
Import Footage
Drag in a short raw clip, such as:
A screen recording
A talking-head video
A product demo
Create First Cut
Ask the agent:
“Edit this into a 60-second video. Remove pauses, weak parts, and dead air. Keep the strongest moments and the main point.”Improve Pacing
After the first cut, review the timeline and ask:
“Make the video tighter, smoother, and easier to watch without changing the main message.”Add Captions and Polish
Ask the agent to add clean captions, improve framing, and apply light color correction.
Review and Export
Watch the full video, check the captions and cuts, then export. Repeat this workflow for future videos.
Note: After exporting, watch the video once on your phone to check if the captions, pacing, and framing look good on mobile.
