Anthropic

Anthropic Launches Claude Sonnet 4.5 as Its Most Advanced Coding AI Model

Anthropic has released Claude Sonnet 4.5, its most advanced AI model to date, with a strong focus on transforming coding. The launch highlights the rapid pace of AI competition, as companies race to deliver increasingly powerful models every few months.

Details:

  • Claude Sonnet 4.5 delivers "state-of-the-art performance" on coding benchmarks. Anthropic says it can build production-ready apps, not just prototypes. In enterprise trials, it coded nonstop for 30 hours, handling app builds, databases, domains, and security audits

  • The model also advances alignment and security. It shows lower sycophancy and deception while resisting prompt injection attacks more effectively. Anthropic is also releasing Claude Agent SDK, letting developers build custom AI agents with the same core tech as Claude Code

  • The update adds "Imagine with Claude," a research preview for Max subscribers. It demonstrates real-time software generation with no preset functions, adapting to user requests. This launch arrives less than two months after Claude Opus 4.1, highlighting the rapid pace of AI

Anthropic’s release counters GPT-5 and bolsters its standing with devs and enterprises. With Apple, Meta, and tools like Cursor, Windsurf, and Replit onboard, Sonnet 4.5 reinforces its lead.

OpenAI

OpenAI Launches Direct Shopping Feature to Challenge Amazon and Google

OpenAI is making a direct challenge to Google and Amazon's e-commerce dominance with the launch of its "Instant Checkout" feature, allowing ChatGPT users to complete purchases from Etsy and Shopify without ever leaving their conversation.

Details:

  • U.S. ChatGPT users can buy from Etsy sellers inside the chat. Over 1 million Shopify merchants, including Glossier, Skims, Spanx, and Vuori, will join too. Purchases work with Apple Pay, Google Pay, Stripe, or cards without leaving the conversation

  • This shifts commerce to chat-based shopping, bypassing search engines. While Perplexity and Microsoft offer similar tools, OpenAI's scale threatens Google and Amazon's retail dominance. Results are "organic and unsponsored," with merchants paying per purchase

  • OpenAI is open-sourcing its Agentic Commerce Protocol (ACP) with Stripe to drive adoption and claim the role of AI commerce hub. Google is launching its rival Agent Payments Protocol (AP2), highlighting the brewing battle for control

This signals an era where AI chatbots could replace search engines and e-commerce platforms as the primary shopping gateway, fundamentally reshaping who controls product discovery and the customer journey in digital retail.

How to Turn a Photo into a Collectible Figurine and Animate It

Ever wanted to see a miniature action figure of yourself smashing a phone like a pro athlete or posing on a desk like a collectible? This guide will show you how to make it happen.

  1. Open Gemini

Log in to your Google Gemini account. From the main dashboard, select “Create Image.”

  2. Prepare Concept

Decide whether you want to create a figurine of yourself, a friend, or a product. Gather a clear, high-quality reference image—preferably front-facing and well-lit.

  3. Enter Custom Prompt

Use a detailed prompt to guide Gemini in generating the figurine. Example:

    • Ask me to upload an image first. Then create a commercial-style figurine scaled at 1/7 size, designed in a realistic style, and placed in a real-world environment. The figurine should sit on a computer desk with a transparent acrylic stand and include a collectible toy box for packaging.”

  4. Upload Reference Image

When Gemini requests it, upload the image you prepared. Wait while Gemini processes and renders your figurine scene with the desk, monitor, and premium packaging included.

  5. Review and Refine

Check the first render. If something looks off (e.g., wrong pose or missing packaging), adjust your prompt slightly and re-generate.

    • Example refinement prompt:

Re-generate with better lighting and sharper packaging details. Keep the acrylic base and toy box consistent.”

  6. Download Final Image

Once satisfied, download the generated figurine scene in high resolution. Save it as a PNG or JPG file for use in animation.

  7. Open Luma Dream Machine

Head to Luma Labs and Tap on “New Board.”

Upload the figurine image you created with Gemini.

  8. Animate with Prompts

Use creative animation prompts to bring your miniature to life. Example:

    • The figurine waves, then jumps off the desk and lands back inside the packaging box.”

    • Camera pans around the figurine as it lights up and points toward the monitor screen.”

  9. Render and Export Video

Preview the animation in Luma. If needed, tweak the motion prompts for smoother results.

Once finalized, export the video in MP4 format, ready for posting or sharing.

Note: Experiment with camera movements — like panning, zooming, or tilting — to add depth and make your miniature scenes feel more alive.
