Anthropic told prospective investors its revenue reached $16.8 billion in Q3 2026, up 45% from the prior quarter. The Claude developer also reported adjusted profitability ahead of a potentially historic IPO in November.

  • Revenue climbed from $4.7 billion in Q1 to $11.6 billion in Q2 and $16.8 billion in Q3. But quarterly growth slowed from over 140% in Q2, despite strong demand for Claude Code

  • Anthropic reported a second straight profitable quarter, an 11% year-to-date adjusted operating margin, $1.70 in revenue per $1 of computing spend, and positive cash flow

  • Executives pitched investors in San Francisco ahead of a planned November IPO that could value Anthropic near $2 trillion, even as competition and huge AI infrastructure costs raise concern

OpenAI Claims Ex Employee Shared Its Secret AI Device Plans With Apple

OpenAI said a former employee who returned to Apple took more than 100 confidential files on an unreleased AI product and briefed Apple leaders. The claim emerged in a court filing in the companies' trade secret dispute.

  • OpenAI says he moved the files to personal accounts. They included engineering, manufacturing, supplier data and device images. He joined OpenAI from Apple, then returned 6 months later

  • OpenAI fears its plans could influence Apple's AI devices, citing HomeView. Apple denies the claim, says no OpenAI files were found on its servers and disputes any evidence of misuse

  • Apple sued OpenAI alleging trade secret theft; OpenAI denies it. A judge allowed early file review and 3 depositions. Trial is likely October 2027, but OpenAI says it may be ready in June

The dispute puts confidential hardware plans, employee moves, and the expanding AI device rivalry between Apple and OpenAI under fresh legal scrutiny.
