Claude Code Product Leader Cat Wu Leaves Anthropic to Join OpenAI Team

One of Claude Code's product leaders is moving to its rival. Cat Wu announced that she's joining OpenAI to lead product management for Core Products, just days after leaving Anthropic, where she helped build Claude Code.

Details:

  • At Anthropic, Wu helped grow Claude Code from a small internal tool into a leading AI coding product. She also worked on Cowork, Anthropic's agent tool for tasks beyond software dev

  • At OpenAI, Wu will report to Thibault Sottiaux and work with Nick Turley on enterprise products and Ashley Alexander on consumer products. Her group is also behind Codex, a coding agent

  • Wu says she wants to build AI agents that help people and teams work faster while keeping users in control. She praised OpenAI for bringing AI to more than a billion people

Her move adds fuel to the rivalry between Claude Code and Codex as OpenAI and Anthropic compete not just for AI users, but for the people building AI.

OpenAI Launches ChatGPT Images 2.6 With Native Animated GIF Creation

OpenAI just launched ChatGPT Images 2.6, a major upgrade beyond routine image improvements. It delivers faster generation, native animated GIFs, more reliable editing, and reusable reference photos across conversations.

Details:

  • Image generation is 50% faster. For developers, the GPT Image 2.6 Flare API model can produce images in as little as six seconds at low quality, enabling faster creative iterations

  • Turn text prompts, existing photos, or rough sketches into looping animated GIFs. Adjust playback speed, edit individual frames, and share the result without using separate animation tools

  • Edits better preserve faces, outfits, products, and visual details. Save and name reference images to reuse the same people, pets, or characters across chats without uploading them again

From quicker designs to animated content and consistent characters, Images 2.6 turns ChatGPT into a more flexible creative tool for daily work.

How to Build an AI Agent That Monitors Your Brand on X

Tracking brand mentions on X can be time-consuming. Grok Bot lets you build an AI agent to monitor mentions, track competitors, identify customer complaints, and deliver daily reports automatically.

  1. Create Your AI Agent

Open Grok Bot and sign in with an eligible account. Tap New Bot (+) in the sidebar. Name it Brand Monitor. Choose an avatar and press Create.

  2. Set Up X Monitoring

Grok Bot can search public X posts, profiles, mentions, and trends without connecting an X account.

For account-specific data, open Connect apps, add X for Grok Bot, and sign in with X.

  3. Define What to Track

Give your Bot the important details:

    • Brand name and X handle

    • Products and relevant hashtags

    • Competitor names and accounts

    • Common misspellings and keywords

Ask it to remember these details for future monitoring.

  4. Start Your Brand Monitoring

    Give your Bot this prompt:

"Monitor public X posts from the last 24 hours mentioning [brand], [products], and [competitors]. Identify complaints, praise, questions, trends, and competitor updates. Ignore spam and duplicates. Report Brand Mentions, Customer Feedback, Competitor Activity, Risks, and Opportunities with links to important posts. Never post or reply automatically."

Tap Send to generate your first report.

  5. Test and Refine Results

Review the report and verify important post links. Ask your Bot to remove irrelevant mentions, filter spam, and prioritize serious complaints.

    Then prompt:

"Save this process as a Skill called Daily Brand Monitor, including search terms, filters, report format, and the rule against posting."

  6. Schedule Daily Reports

    Ask your Bot:

"Create a Routine that runs the Daily Brand Monitor Skill every morning at 9 AM and posts the report in this conversation."

Check the schedule and time zone under your Bot's Routines and account settings.

Use Test, if available, to verify the workflow.

  7. Review Your Daily Brand Pulse

Open your Bot's conversation daily to check:

    • Customer complaints needing attention

    • Positive brand mentions

    • Competitor launches and updates

    • Emerging trends and opportunities

Note: Track brand misspellings to catch untagged mentions, exclude your own posts, and require direct X links for important findings.

An architectural floor plan of {BUILDING_TYPE} spread across a drafting table, with the spaces rising into inhabitable miniature. {ROOM_1} emerges with {FURNITURE_1} and {ACTIVITY_1} in progress, {ROOM_2} rises with {DESIGN_ELEMENT} and {HUMAN_MOMENT}, {ROOM_3} pushes up with {DETAIL_1} and {LIGHTING_1}. Walls exist as both lines and actual partitions simultaneously. Sight lines marked on the plan become actual views between spaces. The mechanical systems in the plan—HVAC, plumbing, electrical—pulse with invisible function. Human circulation patterns appear as ghosted movement trails. Architectural scale figures become actual tiny inhabitants living their tiny lives. Section cuts reveal vertical relationships. The architect's tools surround: scales, pencils, trace paper. Golden design studio light, the plan as promise and proof, 8K, architecture as life container.
