China’s GLM 5.3 Turns Open Weight AI Into a Serious Cybersecurity Tool

China’s Z ai just released GLM-5.3, a major upgrade focused on agentic coding and cybersecurity. It is faster, more token-efficient, and powerful enough that Z ai delayed its open weights 2 weeks for extra safety checks.

Details:

• Built on GLM-5.2’s 743B-parameter base with more post-training, GLM-5.3 scores 34.5% on Z ai Code Bench vs 23.4%, while cutting output use from roughly 96K to 75K tokens per task

• Its cyber leap is bigger: 84.5% on CyberGym, plus 2,436 flaws found across 269 open-source projects, including 1,097 medium-to-high severity issues, and a reported serious Cursor bug

• GLM-5.3 is live in GLM Coding Plan and ZCode, but API availability and open weights will roll out after safety reviews. Z ai is also adding trusted cyber capabilities and its Open Source Shield program

Google Lets Creators Remove Visible Watermarks From AI Generated Media

Google is making visible AI watermarks optional. Users will soon be able to remove the mark on AI-made images, videos and songs in Gemini and Flow, while invisible SynthID and C2PA markers stay in place for verification.

Details:

• The toggle covers Nano Banana images, Omni videos and Lyria songs. It rolls out over coming days in Gemini and Flow, with Search next. Users can turn it off in Settings > Media Watermark

• Removing the visible mark does not remove SynthID or C2PA metadata. Those signals stay for transparency and Gemini or Search can still check whether media was AI-generated

• Google open-sourced Credentio, a C++-based library for local C2PA validation. Anthropic is separately adding text watermarks and C2PA file credentials to comply with EU AI Act rules

Google is giving creators cleaner AI outputs while retaining traceability, making visible labels optional but preserving invisible provenance signals.

How to Build 3D Scenes in Blender With Claude Code

Imagine telling Blender what to create instead of building everything by hand. With Claude Code and BlenderMCP, you can connect AI directly to Blender and control parts of your scene using everyday language.

1. Install Blender

   Download and install Blender, then open it normally and make sure everything is working before adding MCP.

2. Install MCP Extension

   Install the Blender MCP extension. In Blender, go to Edit → Preferences → Add-ons, find Blender MCP, and enable it.

3. Start Blender MCP

   Open the BlenderMCP panel and start its connection. Keep Blender open so Claude Code can communicate with the active scene.

4. Connect Claude Code

   Open Terminal in your project folder and run:

   claude mcp add blender uvx blender-mcp

   This registers BlenderMCP as a tool Claude Code can use.

5. Check MCP Setup

   Run:

   claude mcp get blender

   You can also use claude mcp list to check whether Blender appears among your configured MCP servers.

6. Ask Claude to Verify It

   Give Claude a prompt like:

   “Check my Blender MCP connection before editing anything. Confirm Blender is reachable, verify the MCP configuration and connection, and tell me when the scene is ready for commands.”

7. Create 3D Scene

   Test it with:

   “Use Blender MCP to create my initials as large 3D letters. Add chrome materials, floating metallic spheres, dramatic lighting, and a cinematic camera angle like a futuristic event poster.”

   From there, keep giving Claude plain-English instructions to change the objects, materials, lighting, or camera.

Note: Ask Claude to inspect the current scene before making large changes so it understands what objects already exist.
