Google Launches Gemini 3.1 Pro to Tackle Advanced Logic and Coding

Google unveiled Gemini 3.1 Pro, its first-ever “.1” update, built for advanced problem-solving. It integrates upgrades from Gemini 3 Deep Think and targets complex science, research, and engineering tasks.

Details:

  • The model made a major leap in reasoning, scoring 77.1% on the ARC-AGI-2 benchmark—more than doubling Gemini 3 Pro’s performance on unseen logic tasks

  • This intelligence powers creative and practical uses, from animated SVGs and live ISS dashboards to interactive 3D murmurations and a modern website inspired by Wuthering Heights

  • Launching in preview to refine agentic workflows, it’s available via the Gemini API across Google AI tools, with Pro and Ultra users getting dedicated NotebookLM features and higher app limits

This unprecedented leap in benchmark performance and rapid release schedule demonstrate Google’s unwavering commitment to pushing the boundaries of what AI can achieve.

OpenAI Reportedly Nears Historic $100 Billion Raise at $850 Billion Valuation

OpenAI is reportedly closing the largest private funding round ever, raising over $100 billion. The deal could value the company at $850 billion, putting it among the world’s most valuable corporations.

Details:

  • The financing establishes a post-money valuation of more than $850 billion, stepping up from a pre-money value of $730 billion and shattering all previous venture capital records

  • Strategic heavyweights Amazon, SoftBank, Nvidia, and Microsoft are expected to lead the round, effectively forming a massive alliance that unifies the primary providers of cloud, capital, and compute

  • Proceeds are specifically earmarked for an industrial-scale infrastructure build-out, funding the data centers and custom silicon chips required to support trillions of dollars in future AI development

This move signals a decisive shift in the AI arms race, transforming the push for AGI from a software challenge into a massive capital and infrastructure project.

AI Tutorial

How to Fix Photo Lighting in Minutes

If your image looks flat, harsh, or just “off,” Relight can fix it quickly. This tutorial walks through every control that matters: choosing a starting direction from the grid, refining the angle with the direction pad, and selecting Soft or Hard light depending on the vibe.

  1. Visit Higgsfield’s Relight

Launch Higgsfield’s Relight tool and upload the photo you want to relight.

  2. Choose preset light direction

Use the Quick Select Grid to pick a starting direction:

Top, Front, Right, Left, Back, or Bottom

  3. Use direction pad

Tap, hold, and drag in the interactive Light Direction Pad (with the light cone icon) to rotate the light direction until the highlights and shadows look right.

  4. Pick light style

    • Soft Mode for smoother, gentler shadows.

    • Hard Mode for sharper, higher-contrast shadows.

  5. Adjust brightness and light color

    • Brightness slider ranges from 0–100% (default 50%).

    • Color defaults to neutral white (#FFFFFF), and you can choose a color or enter a hex code.

  6. Make small refinement pass

Do a quick check and change what’s needed:

    • If the light feels slightly off, nudge the direction a little in the pad.

    • If it’s too strong or too weak, adjust brightness.

    • If you want a different mood, change the light color (including hex).

  7. Generate final image

Tap the yellow Generate button to render the relit result with your chosen settings.

Note: If the image looks unnatural, switch between Soft and Hard before touching color. Light quality often fixes issues quicker than color.
