GPT 6 Astra Completes Valve Portal In First Reported Full AI Model Run

GPT-6 Astra just became the first AI model reported to finish Valve’s Portal autonomously. It navigated the full game, solved physics puzzles, corrected mistakes, and completed the run without human hints or intervention.
Details:
The run came from cozyblaze and was streamed publicly. Astra saw screenshots, got player coordinates, and used tool commands to move, aim, fire portals, plan routes, and recover
Astra reached Chamber 10 in under two hours, beating the previous record, then finished the game. Total wall-clock time was nearly 24 hours because Portal paused while the model was reasoning
The run used 3,336 tool calls and cost $571.18 in API usage. It was not real-time play: calls could bundle action sequences, while Portal walkthroughs may exist in training data
The creator calls it an informal demo, not a proper benchmark. Still, completing a 3D puzzle game end to end is a striking sign of progress in agents.

South Korea’s AI Chip Boom Drives Exports To Historic National Records

South Korea says it has already beaten last year’s full-year export record. Exports reached $709.4 billion by September 5, as explosive demand for AI chips pushes the country toward a possible $1 trillion year in 2026.
Details:
Semiconductor exports jumped 169.6% to $281 billion from January through August and made up 41% of exports, with Samsung and SK Hynix riding higher memory prices and booming AI demand
Exports to China surged 76% and shipments to the U.S. rose 57% over the same period. But passenger-car exports, South Korea’s No. 2 export category, fell 4% as the chip boom led growth
Korea Customs says exports could hit $1 trillion by early December. That would make South Korea fourth country to reach the milestone after the United States, China and Germany
AI infrastructure is moving national trade numbers. South Korea’s chip advantage is turning the global AI spending boom into a historic export surge.

Blu Dot surpasses 2,000% ROAS with self-serve CTV ads
Home furniture brand Blu Dot blew up on CTV with help from Roku Ads Manager. Here’s how:
After a test campaign reached 211,000 households and achieved 1,010% ROAS, the brand went all in to promote its annual sales event. It removed age and income constraints to expand reach and shifted budget to custom audiences and retargeting, where intent was strongest.
The results speak for themselves. As Blu Dot increased their investment by 10x, ROAS jumped to 2,308% and more page-view conversions surpassed 50,000.
“For CTV campaigns, Roku has been a top performer,” said Claire Folkestad, Paid Media Strategist, Blu Dot. “Comping to our other platforms, we have seen really strong ROAS… and highly efficient CPMs, lower than any other CTV partner we've worked with.”
Using Roku Ads Manager, the campaign moved from a pilot to a permanent performance engine for the brand.
