GPT-6 Astra Cracks a German World War I Cipher and Confirms Naval Logs

A 108-year-old German military radio cipher has apparently been decoded for the first time. Developer Prinz used OpenAI’s GPT-6 Astra to crack the ADFGVX message, one of several long-unsolved WWI radio ciphers from 1918.
Details:
The cipher came from Scienceblogs de’s list of 50 unsolved codes. Astra used the key “TRUPPENVERSCHIEBUNG,” rebuilding the ADFGVX grid and decoding the full 170-character radio transmission
The message warned that an English cruiser had reached Sevastopol on the ?4th and an Allied squadron would follow on the 26th. Astra then checked the result against historical records
HMS Canterbury’s logs show it reached Sevastopol on Nov. 24, 1918, while an Allied squadron arrived Nov. 26. Astra says earlier solvers missed the key because it was thought to start Dec. 9
More than a century later, this once unsolved cipher may be readable at last, showing how AI can revisit historical puzzles using overlooked evidence.

Trump Wants to Rebrand AI and Announces Plans to Create an AI Force

President Donald Trump wants a different name for artificial intelligence and says he is forming an AI Force with an AI czar, as Washington and the tech industry intensify debate over AI regulation in the U.S.
Details:
Trump posted a Truth Social poll asking followers to choose Superior Intelligence, Extreme Intelligence and Supreme Intelligence, saying Artificial Intelligence is inaccurate
Trump called efforts to slow or restrict AI a political hoax without evidence, defended data centers and said existing criminal and civil law can address bad conduct without stifling growth
He said the AI Force would resemble Space Force and promised an AI czar but gave no duties, structure, budget or timeline. Former AI czar David Sacks moved into an advisory role in March
The announcement comes as AI safety concerns rise across industry and Congress while Trump argues the U.S. must move quickly to remain ahead of China.

Blu Dot surpasses 2,000% ROAS with self-serve CTV ads
Home furniture brand Blu Dot blew up on CTV with help from Roku Ads Manager. Here’s how:
After a test campaign reached 211,000 households and achieved 1,010% ROAS, the brand went all in to promote its annual sales event. It removed age and income constraints to expand reach and shifted budget to custom audiences and retargeting, where intent was strongest.
The results speak for themselves. As Blu Dot increased their investment by 10x, ROAS jumped to 2,308% and more page-view conversions surpassed 50,000.
“For CTV campaigns, Roku has been a top performer,” said Claire Folkestad, Paid Media Strategist, Blu Dot. “Comping to our other platforms, we have seen really strong ROAS… and highly efficient CPMs, lower than any other CTV partner we've worked with.”
Using Roku Ads Manager, the campaign moved from a pilot to a permanent performance engine for the brand.

How to Create Stunning Presentations Without Manual Designing

Whether you’re pitching an idea, explaining a concept, or preparing a training module, Kimi K2 Slides helps you produce clean, visually consistent presentations.
Visit Kimi
Log in to your Kimi account, go to your main dashboard, and select Kimi Slides from the left sidebar. This opens the dedicated interface where slide generation happens.
Define presentation goal
Before typing your prompt, think about the outcome of your deck. Consider:
Who is the audience?
What is the purpose (pitch, report, training, overview)?
What kind of visual tone do you want (formal, modern, energetic)?
This will help you craft a clearer instruction for the AI.
Write main prompt
Type your request into the prompt box. Keep it specific so the AI can structure the deck accurately.
Example prompt:
Create a complete presentation for a beginner’s guide to influencer marketing for small businesses. You can also include notes like slide count, visual style, or sections you want emphasized.
Choose Preset
You can decide how much control you want:
Preset Mode: Ideal for structured presentations like reports, strategies, step-by-step processes, or teaching slides.
Adaptive Mode: Better for creative, flexible, or more visual presentations such as product showcases or conceptual overviews.
Pick design template
Browse through Kimi’s themes, which range from minimal and professional to bold and colorful. Select the one that matches your topic’s personality.
Once chosen, tap Generate Slides. The system usually needs 5–10 minutes to build around 14–18 fully formatted slides.
Review and refine slides
After generation, go through each slide to ensure accuracy, clarity, and flow.
Use manual editing to adjust elements such as:
Headlines
Image placement
Data or examples
Tone and wording
Export final deck
When you’re satisfied with the presentation, download it as a PPTX file. Kimi embeds fonts automatically, so your formatting stays consistent across devices and software.
Tip: Replace generic examples with your own industry-specific data to make the presentation feel original.
