Jensen Huang Says AGI Has Arrived Following OpenAI GPT 6 Astra Release

Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang says “AGI has arrived” after OpenAI launched GPT-6 Astra, a model built to move beyond answering questions and autonomously handle complex computer, research, coding, science and professional work.

Details:

• OpenAI says Astra scored 98% on FrontierMath Tier 4, 99.9% on ARC-AGI-3, 100% on ExploitBench and 96% on GPQA Diamond, while completing computer-use tasks about 47% faster than Sol

• Astra can browse, fill forms, update CRMs, analyze data, build sites, test software and create docs, slides and sheets. OpenAI says it stayed within scope, but hit a Critical cyber threshold

• Huang says Astra trained on 100K+ Grace Blackwell NVLink72 systems, with 400K more GPUs coming. Brockman calls this the AGI era; researchers say benchmarks still do not prove AGI

How to Build a Chrome Extension From Scratch With Claude Code

From productivity tools to custom browser utilities, Chrome extensions can turn simple ideas into useful tools. Claude Code makes the process easier by generating the code and helping you build and refine the extension from your terminal.

1. Start Claude Code

   Install Claude Code, create a folder for the project, open it in your terminal, and run claude.

   • Create a folder called focus-mode

   • Open that folder in your terminal

   • Run claude

2. Describe Extension

   Tell Claude Code what you want to build. Ask for a Manifest V3 extension that uses activeTab and scripting to modify the current webpage when its toolbar icon is clicked.

   Use this prompt:

   “Build a Chrome extension called Focus Mode. When I click its toolbar icon, simplify the current webpage for reading by improving text readability, limiting content width, and hiding distracting elements. Use Manifest V3, a service worker, activeTab, and scripting. Keep it self-contained with no backend or external libraries.”

3. Review Generated Files

   Let Claude create the extension files, then ask it to check the project before you load it.

   • Make sure manifest.json is in the project’s root folder

   • Ask Claude to check the manifest, permissions, and JavaScript for errors

4. Load It Into Chrome

   Open chrome://extensions, enable Developer mode, tap Load unpacked, and select the folder Claude created.

   Chrome officially supports loading an unpacked extension this way during development. Pin the extension from Chrome’s Extensions menu for easier testing.

5. Test Focus Mode

   Open a normal webpage and press the extension icon. Focus Mode should apply the cleaner reading layout; tap it again to turn the effect off.

   Test it on a few different sites, since webpages use different layouts. Browser-internal pages and some restricted pages cannot be modified by extensions.

6. Debug With Claude

   If the extension fails, open chrome://extensions and check its error details. Copy the error into Claude Code and ask it to diagnose and fix the problem.

   Use this prompt:

   “Find the cause of this Chrome extension error, fix the relevant files, and check for any related issues: [paste error]”

   After changing the manifest or service worker, reload the extension from the Extensions page before testing again.

7. Add More Features

   Once it works, ask Claude Code to extend it with features such as a popup, dark mode, adjustable font size, or saved preferences.

   You can keep building on the same project rather than starting over. Chrome’s extension APIs provide additional capabilities as your extension becomes more advanced.

Note: Test on several real websites, not just one. DOM structures differ widely, so a script that works on one page can behave differently on another.
