Kimi K2.6 Pushes Open Source AI Further Into Real Coding Work

Kimi just released K2.6, its latest open-source model for stronger coding, longer multi-step execution, and better agent workflows. It is live on Kimi(.)com in chat and agent mode, plus the app, API, and Kimi Code.
Details:
Moonshot says K2.6 takes a real step up in long-horizon coding, handling complex work across Rust, Go, Python, front-end, DevOps, and performance tuning with steadier results
In demos, it ran 12+ hours with 4,000+ tool calls to optimize local inference, reworked an old matching engine over 13 hours, and built polished front-ends plus simple full-stack apps
It also expands agent work: swarms scale to 300 sub-agents and 4,000 steps, can turn files into reusable skills, support 24/7 proactive agents, and power Claw Groups for team workflows
The blog and X post say the same thing: K2.6 is built for real coding and agent work, with Kimi Code positioned as the production-ready route.

Anthropic
NSA Reportedly Uses Anthropic Mythos Despite the Pentagon Rift

Anthropic’s restricted Mythos is reportedly already being used by the NSA, even though the Pentagon recently tagged Anthropic as a supply chain risk after a clash over how the military could use the company’s AI.
Details:
Mythos launched as a frontier cybersecurity model, but Anthropic kept it off the public market because it said the system was powerful enough to materially aid offensive cyberattacks
Use was reportedly limited to around 40 groups, with 12 named publicly. The NSA is said to be among the undisclosed users, mainly scanning for exploitable vulnerabilities
The dispute goes beyond one model. The Pentagon has argued in court that Anthropic’s tools could threaten national security after clashes over surveillance, weapons, and model use
At the same time, ties may be warming, with Dario Amodei reportedly meeting Susie Wiles and Scott Bessent, and White House calling talks productive.

How to Build a Complete Course for Any Tool in Record Time

Most people waste weeks jumping between random tutorials, outdated guides, and incomplete documentation when learning a tool for the first time. This tutorial shows a quicker, smarter way to build a complete course for any tool in a short amount of time.
Define Learning Objective
Start by deciding exactly what you want to achieve with the tool. Be specific about your outcome so your research stays focused and efficient.
Let Gemini Do Research
Ask Gemini to perform a deep search for the best educational YouTube content about the tool.
Use a prompt like:
“Find the most practical and beginner-friendly YouTube tutorials, walkthroughs, and full courses about [Tool Name]. Focus on real-world usage and current versions.”Collect Knowledge Base
Go to the company’s website and save all official learning material:
Documentation
Tutorials and guides
API references (if applicable)
Product blogs and updates
Extract Real-World User Knowledge
Search relevant subreddits, forums, and communities related to the tool. Look for experienced users sharing workflows, advanced setups, and practical use cases that go beyond basic tutorials.
Build Knowledge Hub
Upload all collected material into NotebookLM so everything lives in one place. You will then have a searchable, organized knowledge base built from the best resources on the internet.
Generate Full Course Curriculum
Ask NotebookLM to build a complete learning path from beginner to expert:
Step-by-step lessons
Real-world projects
Practical workflows
Hands-on exercises
This turns scattered information into a structured course.
Learn Through Personalized System
You should have a complete curriculum built specifically. It follows real workflows, includes practical projects, and reflects best practices from power users — not generic theory.
Note: Don’t try to consume everything at once. Let the curriculum guide your learning path and follow it step by step.
