Meta Launches Muse Code for Large Scale Software Engineering

Meta has launched Muse Code, a terminal AI coding agent built for full engineering tasks across massive repositories. Currently in beta it plans changes, writes code, tests results and takes aim at Claude Code and Codex.
Details:
Powered by Muse Spark 1.2, it installs with one command, studies large codebases, debugs issues, builds features, validates its work and keeps an activity log so interrupted jobs can resume
For larger jobs it launches sub-agents in parallel in isolated Git worktrees, leaving the developer’s working copy untouched. Meta says it built six game features at once without collisions
Standard pricing is $1.25 per million input tokens and $4.25 per million output tokens. A contributor tier drops output cost to $0.20, but Meta can use your activity to improve its products
Muse Code follows Meta’s June Business Agent launch, extending its costly AI push beyond ads and consumer tools into developer and enterprise markets.

Google Reshuffles AI Leadership as Rivals Gain Ground

Google is reshaping its AI leadership at a critical moment. Demis Hassabis is leaving DeepMind’s daily management, while Jeff Dean exits after 27 years as delays and talent losses raise pressure on Gemini.
Details:
Hassabis becomes DeepMind chairman and Alphabet chief scientist, focusing on global AGI strategy and Isomorphic Labs. CTO Koray Kavukcuoglu takes operational control and will lead Gemini 4
Dean is co-founding Discovery Loop with Google veterans Sanjay Ghemawat, Oriol Vinyals and Quoc Le. The public benefit company aims to use AI to automate scientific research
The reshuffle follows delays to Gemini 3.5 Pro, particularly around coding, and a wave of researchers joining OpenAI and Anthropic as both rivals continue releasing frontiers
Google’s next test is clear: turn world-class research into quicker execution, close the gap with rivals and prevent more top talent from leaving.

How to Reimagine Real Places Using Google Earth AI

Google Earth is no longer just for exploring places around the world. With its AI image tool, you can choose any location, describe the changes you want, and visualize how that place could look in the future.
Open Project
Open Google Earth on the web. Choose an existing project or create a fresh one.
Select Location
Find the place you want to transform. Adjust the map angle and zoom so the full area is clearly visible.
Capture Map View
Tap Create image in the toolbar. Google Earth will use your current map view as the base image. Make sure:
The correct area is visible
Nothing important is cut off
The zoom level shows enough detail
Describe Changes
In the prompt box, explain what you want to add or change.
For example:
“Turn this empty field into a public garden with paths and shaded seating.”“Redesign this road with bike lanes, wider sidewalks, and more trees.”“Add eco-friendly cabins and wooden walkways to this coastal area.”“Reimagine this district with modern towers and rooftop gardens.”Generate Image
Submit your prompt. Google Earth will create a fresh image based on the original map view and your instructions.
Refine Result
Press Refine image to make changes. Add another prompt to:
Add or remove objects
Change the landscape or buildings
Adjust the layout, mood, or details
Example: “Add more trees and replace the parking area with a pedestrian plaza.”
Save to Project
When satisfied, tap on Save to Project. The image will be added as a media attachment to a placemark in your Google Earth project.
Note: Use specific prompts instead of vague instructions, and clearly describe what should be added, removed, or redesigned.
