• OpenAI's flagship hardware project is a display-less smart speaker, developed with Apple's former design chief Jony Ive. The company has secured manufacturing deals with Luxshare and approached Goertek — both key Apple suppliers. This aligns with CEO Sam Altman's vision for pocket-sized, contextually aware devices

• OpenAI is also exploring AI glasses, digital voice recorders, and a wearable pin — despite Ive's past criticism of the Humane AI Pin. How to Turn a Course Syllabus into a Smart Study Database

Managing a semester can feel overwhelming, especially when you’re faced with long syllabi and endless planning. In this tutorial, you’ll learn how to use Notion AI to quickly convert a plain syllabus into a structured lecture-notes database—giving you an organized study system in seconds.

1. Open Notion

   Go to Notion in your browser. Log in with your account, or create one if you don’t already have one.

2. Create workspace page

   From your sidebar, click New Page.

   Give the page a simple name (for example: Course Setup).

   Inside the page, press the space bar to open the AI input window.

3. Import syllabus file

   Take your syllabus (PDF or text format).

   Upload it to the Notion page as a plain document.

   Make sure the text is readable (no scanned images without text).

4. Run prompt

   In the AI input box, paste this prompt:

   "Turn this syllabus into a structured study system. Create a weekly database with rows for each lecture and columns for date, topic, key concepts, assignments, review status, and space for notes. Organize it so I can easily track my progress throughout the semester."

   Wait for Notion AI to generate the database automatically.

5. Review generated database

   Check the structure that appears.

   You should see a table with:

   • Weekly rows already filled in

   • Columns for lecture dates, topics, key concepts, assignments, review status, and notes sections

   Confirm that the data matches your syllabus outline.

6. Customize if needed

   Rename or reorder columns to fit your study style.

   Add filters, tags, or calendar views if you want a different way to organize lectures.

7. Test with sample notes

   Add a few notes for Week 1 or Week 2 to see how it works. Mark a lecture as “Reviewed” to test the review tracking.

Note: Connect your lecture notes database to a calendar view so you can visualize your entire semester schedule at a glance and stay ahead of deadlines.
