Cursor Running Claude Reportedly Deleted A Database In 9 Seconds
Cursor running Claude Opus 4.6 deleted PocketOS’s production database in 9 seconds. The bigger issue was not just Claude or Cursor. Railway’s setup allegedly turned one bad action into total data loss.
Details:
The agent was meant to work in staging, hit a problem, then chose to delete a Railway volume without checking docs, verifying scope, or asking permission before running destructive command
PocketOS says the damage became worse because Railway backups were tied to the same volume, so when the volume was wiped, the backups disappeared too
The founder is helping customers rebuild bookings manually from Stripe payments, calendars, and emails. Months of business data were lost because one AI action had too much power
