OpenAI Plans $750B AI Infrastructure Spending Through 2030

OpenAI’s AI infrastructure bill just jumped to a staggering $750 billion through 2030 — 25% higher than its earlier estimate — as the company races to secure the computing power needed for its AI ambitions.

Details:

• The first major project is a $20B, 1,400-acre Georgia data center called Project Camellia. It could consume at least 3.2GW of electricity, with Georgia Power capacity expected from 2028 onward

• OpenAI says it will cover the full infrastructure and electricity-service costs and can cut usage by up to 1GW during peak demand. It is also getting a 50% property-tax abatement

• Much of Georgia Power’s capacity is expected to come from natural gas, alongside batteries and solar. OpenAI has also hired former xAI ex Brett Mayo, who helped build Colossus data center

Meta Promotes AI Optimism With a Song About the End of Humanity

Meta just launched an upbeat ad arguing that AI will bring people closer and create a better future. But there’s one bizarre detail: the soundtrack is David Bowie’s “Five Years,” a song about humanity facing extinction.

Details:

• Meta’s ad rejects fears that AI will isolate people, destroy jobs, or leave society behind. It shows families, friends, dancing, swimming, and reunions while declaring, “future is for everyone”

• The strange part is the music. Bowie’s “Five Years” is about Earth dying and humanity learning it has five years left. Out of context, the section Meta uses sounds hopeful. In context, it’s incredibly bleak

• Public trust in AI is already low. A Pew survey cited in the report found just 16% of Americans expect AI’s impact over the next 20 years to be positive, while 40% expect it to be negative

Meta wanted an optimistic message about humanity’s AI-powered future. Instead, its soundtrack accidentally made the campaign feel like a warning about the end of humanity.

Want to add cinematic CGI to your videos in minutes? This guide shows you how to use Higgsfield and ChatGPT to generate realistic AI VFX with simple prompts and a few easy refinements.

1. Choose Right Video

   Start with a short clip that has a clear subject, simple camera movement, and a visible background. These types of videos are easier for the model to preserve.

2. Plan CGI Effect

   Decide what effect you want to add and how it should appear in the scene. A clear idea leads to better generations.

3. Improve Prompt

   Use ChatGPT to make your prompt more detailed and specific.

   Example prompt:

   Rewrite this AI VFX prompt with more detail. Clearly describe the effect, its movement, placement, and lighting while keeping the original subject, camera movement, and scene unchanged.

4. Generate in Higgsfield

   Open the Video tab in Higgsfield and select Gemini Omni Flash.

   • Upload your source video.

   • Paste the improved prompt.

   • Tap Generate.

5. Review Output

   Compare the generated video with the original. Check whether the CGI looks natural and the scene has been preserved.

6. Refine Prompt

   If needed, improve the prompt by:

   • Making the effect more specific.

   • Adjusting its movement or placement.

   • Reinforcing what should remain unchanged.

7. Generate Final Version

   Run the generation again until the CGI blends naturally into the original footage.

Note: Reference the exact position of the effect, such as "behind the subject" or "above the car," for better consistency.
