Perplexity Unveils Personal Computer To Run AI Locally On Your Mac

Perplexity has launched “Personal Computer,” turning your spare Mac into a locally hosted AI agent that acts as your digital proxy — bringing AI from the cloud directly to your desk.
Details:
It runs entirely on your local network, turning a spare device like a Mac mini into a 24/7 AI agent with direct interaction with your files, apps, and network—without sending sensitive data to the cloud
Unlike “Perplexity Computer,” this version runs locally but can be controlled remotely from anywhere to handle tasks like drafting emails, turning reports into slides, or sorting job candidates
Currently in early preview, it includes safety features like a kill switch, full action logs, and required approval for sensitive tasks—supporting Perplexity’s claim that the assistant “never sleeps”
This launch signals a massive shift toward secure, hardware-based AI assistants that prioritize your privacy by keeping everything on-device.

Google Maps Brings Generative AI to Navigation and Discovery

Google Maps is getting its biggest update in a decade, using generative AI to transform how people explore, discover, and navigate the real world—turning it into a personalized travel companion.
Details:
Gemini-powered “Ask Maps” feature lets users ask conversational questions about places—like finding venues or activities based on personal preferences—and receive curated recommendations
“Immersive Navigation” adds a hyper-realistic 3D route view showing buildings, terrain, lanes, crosswalks, and traffic lights, paired with more natural voice guidance to make directions clearer
The features are launching in the U.S. (with Ask Maps also debuting in India) as part of Google’s push to bring AI deeper into real-world navigation, with broader regional expansion planned
This update marks a fundamental shift in user experience, turning Google Maps into an intelligent, visual guide that makes getting where you need to go feel effortless.

How to Transfer Your AI Memory to Claude in Seconds

Many people want to try Claude but hesitate because rebuilding context takes time. Instead of rewriting preferences and projects, you can export your AI memory and import it into Claude in a few steps.
Use Claude’s Import Memory
Go to Claude and make sure you’re logged in. Find the Import Memory option and tap Get Started.
Copy Transfer Prompt
Claude will generate a special prompt. Copy that full prompt exactly as shown.
Paste It into Current AI Tool
Launch the AI assistant you’ve been using, such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Copilot, or another platform. Paste the copied prompt into a fresh chat and send it.
Generate Memory Summary
Let the tool respond fully. It will create a structured summary of your:
Preferences and writing style
Ongoing projects and goals
Recurring instructions or habits
Copy Full Response
Select the entire response carefully. Make sure nothing is missing before copying it.
Paste Back into Claude
Return to Claude. Paste the full response into the Import Memory field exactly as instructed.
Save and Activate Memory
Press Add to Memory.
Claude will then:
Reference your past preferences
Match your tone and style
Remember key project details across future chats
Note: Update your memory periodically. As your goals, projects, or writing style evolve, refresh the imported context to keep responses aligned.
