Trump administration has blocked Chinese humanoid and quadruped robots, plus connected power inverters, saying the hardware could threaten US data, critical infrastructure and the country’s expanding AI buildout.

FCC says networked robots could collect US data, support spying or be remotely controlled. Power inverters could expose energy grids and AI data centers to cyberattacks
The rules cover new models, but earlier approvals can still be revoked. Non-Chinese suppliers may get exemptions, while companies shifting production to the US could seek special waivers
