Tavus Griffin Fools 48% of Testers Into Thinking It Is Human

Tavus has unveiled Griffin, a real-time AI video model built to watch, listen, speak, and react at once. In a one-minute study, 48% of participants believed the AI on the other side was an actual person during the call.
Details:
Griffin does not wait for rigid turn-by-turn prompts. It tracks speech, facial cues, pauses, movement, and visual context continuously, deciding when to nod, wait, interrupt, or answer live
In Tavus' company-run test, 26 of 54 people thought Griffin-Lite was human, versus 1 of 41 for its previous system. NVIDIA's VideoFDB ranked it first for both perception and generation
On VideoFDB, Griffin-Lite scored 3.83 versus 3.92 for human generation and 3.73 versus 4.20 for perception. Tavus is limiting use while it builds safer disclosure and release controls
This could make AI tutors, support, and companions feel far more natural. It could also make live impersonation and scams much harder to recognize.

Anthropic Warns Government Actions Could Hurt Customer Ties

Anthropic's IPO prospectus warns that government actions and attitudes toward the company could spill into its commercial business, hurting customer, partner, investor, and revenue relationships beyond federal sales.
Details:
Government contracts make up 1% of Anthropic's annual revenue, yet the filing says government actions could cause material losses, business disruption, and reputational damage
Anthropic cites a February federal-use ban, the Pentagon's supply-chain-risk blacklist, and June export restrictions on Fable 5 and Mythos 5 that were later lifted, with the models restored
The warning lands as Anthropic pursues an IPO that could value it near $2 trillion, while its prospectus devotes major space to AI safety risks and the FTC separately probes leading AI labs
The bigger risk is not government revenue itself, but whether official distrust changes how businesses and investors view Anthropic ahead of its IPO.

How to Create Presentations From Google Drive With Gemini

Google Slides can use Gemini to turn your existing Drive content into a complete presentation. Add your source files, give it a presentation to follow, and receive a deck you can fully edit afterward.
Open Gemini in Slides
Open Google Slides on your computer and start a fresh presentation. Tap Ask Gemini and choose the option to generate a presentation.
Describe Presentation
Tell Gemini the topic, audience, goals, and approximate number of slides. Be specific about the information you want included.
"Create an 8-slide presentation on our Q3 marketing results for company leadership. Cover growth, top channels, campaign performance, problems, and recommendations."Add Files From Drive
Press Add sources → Add from Drive and select the files Gemini should use for context. You can reference multiple files, including:
Google Docs and Sheets
PDFs and previous presentations
Match Existing Deck
Choose Match presentation style → Add from Drive, then select an existing presentation. Gemini uses it as a visual style reference for the fresh deck.
Review Plan
Gemini may ask follow-up questions before creating the deck. It then generates a plan showing the overview, sources, and slide-by-slide structure. Edit the outline before continuing.
Approve and Generate
Tap Approve once the plan is ready. Gemini builds the presentation using your prompt, Drive sources, and selected style. Keep the Slides tab open while it generates.
Edit Finished Deck
Review the generated presentation and refine it directly in Google Slides. You can manually edit elements or ask Gemini to change individual slides, including their content and design.
Note: For text-heavy slides, use Gemini’s Refine tools to shorten, rephrase, formalize, or turn paragraphs into bullets rather than rewriting everything manually.
