Thinking Machines Shows Its First Real Time Interaction Model

Thinking Machines has revealed its first AI model, and it is trying to fix one big problem in voice AI: slow, turn-based chats. The goal is AI that can listen, speak, watch, interrupt, and help in real time.

Details:

  • It processes audio, video, and text in tiny 200ms chunks. That means it does not need to wait for your full sentence before reacting, so conversations can feel closer to a live call

  • It can handle interruptions, backchannels, visual cues, simultaneous speech, live translation, timing, search, browsing, tool use, and generative UI while the conversation continues

  • The model is called TML-Interaction-Small. It is a research preview, not a public product yet. Limited availability is planned soon, with a wider release expected later this year

This matters because AI may move beyond “prompt and wait.” The next big step could be real-time collaboration, where AI stays present while deeper reasoning happens in the background.

Google Brings Agentic Gemini AI To Android Phones

Google is adding a fresh Gemini Intelligence layer to Android. It brings agentic tasks, web browsing, Chrome help, form filling, cleaner voice typing, and prompt-built widgets to phones.

Details:

  • Gemini will handle multi-step tasks across apps. You can press the power button, describe the job, and let it use your screen context, like moving a grocery list into a shopping app

  • Gemini can browse the web, come to Chrome in late June, summarize pages, answer questions, fill forms with opt-in Personal Intelligence, and work inside Gboard

  • Google is also adding vibe-coded Android widgets. Users can describe a widget in plain language, like a weekly meal planner, and Gemini will build it with Material 3 design

These features will reach the latest Samsung Galaxy and Google Pixel devices first this summer. Other Android devices are expected to get them later this year.
