xAI Secures $20 Billion Funding Round as Valuation Expectations Soar

Elon Musk’s xAI closed a $20B funding round above its $15B target, signaling a multihundred-billion valuation as it expands products, partnerships, and infrastructure amid ongoing controversies and regulatory scrutiny.
Details:
xAI raised $20 billion from strategic partners and longtime backers. Earlier reports suggested a valuation near $230 billion, with investors ranging from major tech vendors to sovereign and asset managers
Following a merger, the company owns the social network X. It also runs the Grok—used by the U.S. Department of Defense—and is building gas-powered data centers in Memphis, raising air-quality concerns
xAI faces regulatory probes in Europe, India, and Malaysia after Grok produced inappropriate images of children and non-consensual intimate images of adults. Despite the scrutiny, the company continues to secure major partnerships
xAI’s rapid capital raise accelerates its growth and influence but also amplifies scrutiny over safety, ethics and local environmental impacts as it scales.

Razer's AI Anime Waifu Hologram Is as Awkward as It Sounds

Razer is turning its AI gaming coach into a physical device, Project Ava—a desktop holographic system launching this year. A small capsule projects animated avatars that monitor you and your screen for real-time assistance and companionship.
Details:
The hardware is a 5.5-inch desk-friendly device displaying animated holograms—ranging from an anime girl to esports stars or a orb—that use eye-tracking and lip-syncing to mimic natural human interaction
By constantly monitoring your webcam feed and desktop activity, the AI is designed to offer live gaming coaching, problem-solving, and even wardrobe advice, all activated through a push-to-talk key
Early hands-on demos were heavily criticized as "sad and lonely," plagued by hallucinations about game states and prices, generic advice, and uncomfortably flirtatious dialogue like "I’m the prettiest, just for you"
Despite the critical reception and the buggy demonstration, Razer is aggressively positioning this as the future of gaming and is currently accepting $20 reservations.

How to Turn Any Document Into Branded Visuals Using Claude and Canva

If you’ve ever wished your documents could turn into visuals automatically, Claude and Canva just made that real. This combo helps you transform any text into beautiful, branded designs.
Go to Claude
Open your browser and visit Claude. Sign in with your existing Anthropic account, or create another one.
Navigate “Search and Tools” Section
On the left panel, tap on “Search and Tools”. This area allows you to integrate external apps and plugins that expand Claude’s abilities beyond text.
Enable Canva Plugin
In the plugin list, enable Canva, connect your account if prompted, and grant permission. You’ll then see Canva under “Active Tools.”
Prepare Source Material
Gather any file or content you want to visualize, such as:
Blog posts or newsletters
Product guides or sales decks
Meeting notes, reports, or summaries
Claude supports multiple file types (PDF, DOCX, TXT, etc.), so you can upload almost any written content.
Upload Document
Use the upload button next to the chat bar. Drag and drop your document or select it from your device. Claude will scan the content.
Ask Claude to Design
Type a clear, direct prompt explaining what you want. For example:
“Create a branded LinkedIn carousel from this file using Canva.”“Design a clean infographic highlighting the top 5 takeaways.”“Convert this meeting summary into a visual presentation with icons and charts.”
The clearer your style and purpose, the better the visual result.
Review Generated Designs
Within seconds, Claude will generate a set of ready-to-edit Canva visuals. These will typically include layout suggestions, color accents, and font pairings that match your content type.
Open and Edit in Canva
Press “Open in Canva.” This transfers your generated designs to Canva’s editor, where you can:
Adjust colors, logos, or fonts to match your brand
Add or remove icons and images
Refine text alignment or transitions for final polish
Note: If your document is long, ask Claude to summarize or extract highlights first — it makes the design cleaner and easier to follow.

Create Your Own Photo Like This Using the Prompt Below:
Create a high-angle CCTV surveillance shot using the uploaded image as the source. Detect every visible person and automatically draw a white rectangular bounding box around each face. For the most prominent person, add a large zoom-in inset: a sharp, enhanced close-up of their face displayed in a floating rectangular frame connected to the main image by a thin white line. Keep the main image slightly noisy and security-camera-like (soft grain, slight distortion, muted colors), while the zoom-in face box should be clearer, brighter, and more detailed. No text, timestamps, or overlays except the boxes and connecting line. Maintain the original scene layout, angle, and environment of the uploaded image.Model: Nano Banana Pro
